The Golden Spurs competed at the HTE National Dance Contest this weekend at the University of the Incarnate Word. They received the following awards:
1st Place National Champion Duet in the 9th-10th Division - Cassandra Pedraza & Gia Peña
Officer Varsity Medium Division:
1st Place National Champions in Pom
1st Place National Champions in Jazz
Super Sweepstakes (overall scores of 94.5 or higher in all 3 routines)

Best in Class - Officer Jazz (highest ranking score of the entire contest)
Best in Class - Officer Pom (highest ranking score of the entire contest)

SPECIAL INVITATION AWARDED TO SPURS:
Jeffery Giles, President & CEO of HTE Dance, extended a special invitation to the ENHS Golden Spurs to be a part of a production group featured in the 2022 Dallas Holiday Parade on the first Saturday of December. The Spurs are ONE of the 3 performance groups to be invited to perform during the parade. The performance groups will have a spotlight at the beginning, middle, or close out of the parade. This invitation was extended to them right after their amazing performance of their jazz routine since we were so impressed with the choreography and the execution of the advanced technical skills. Usually, teams have to submit audition videos to HTE to be featured by the March deadline, but he invited us on the spot!!!
I would like to thank our dancers for their commitment and their hard work during our long contest season and for our wonderful, supportive Spur parents!! We continue to excel due to the best administrative team and our amazing Fine Arts department.
