Student membership for the Edinburg CISD is over 33,000 students and the District continues to grow at a rate of approximately 5% annually. The District offers a well-balanced elementary curriculum with small classes which concentrate on strong oral and written language programs. Due to the proximity to Mexico, a bilingual program is crucial in helping many of our students cope with language and concept acquisition. The district provides a Pre-K program as well as a gifted and talented elementary program.
Edinburg North High School (ENHS), established in 1991, has 2,755 students and is constantly growing. ENHS offers a well-balanced curriculum of AP classes, such as: Psychology, History, English, Chemistry, Calculus, and Seminar. The school also provides multi-level sports: volleyball, football, wrestling, powerlifting, track, cross country, and more. In addition, ENHS sponsors a wide range of after-school activities with UIL Academics (spelling, journalism, computer apps, mental math, science, etc.), Academic Honor Societies, Fine Arts Honor Societies, Technical Honor Societies, Clubs, Band, Color Guard, and so much more!
