Special Olympics Unified Champions with the help of varsity football seniors teamed up to provide an inclusive event for the self-contained students of Edinburg North High School. They put together the very first Unified Champions Football Skills Camp where student differences were embraced while being taught basic football skills. Rotations included a rushing touchdown obstacle course, a kicking station, a passing skills station, and a pass/rush sack station. The excitement that radiated from the gym was proof that although students had different abilities, they were actually more alike than they were different. This was the first of many events to promote inclusion within the campus at Edinburg North. Special thanks to the support staff that participated in making this happen.
