End-of-Semester Exam Information and Key Dates
Edinburg North High School wants to make sure all students and families know about the schedule for final exams and what else is happening at the end of the year. Please read this information carefully, because the schedule is different for seniors and students in grades 9-11.
Important Note: All students should talk to their teachers about the specific details of their final exams.
For Graduating Seniors:
Seniors, please pay close attention to this schedule because your end-of-year activities happen earlier than other students.
- Friday, May 23, 2025: This will be a regular school day. Use this day to study for your final exams.
- Monday, May 26, 2025: There will be no school because of the Memorial Day holiday.
- Tuesday, May 27, 2025: Seniors will have final exams today. You will have to write an essay for your even-numbered class periods (2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th periods). You will also have the regular final exam for your odd-numbered class periods (1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th periods).
- Wednesday, May 28, 2025: Seniors will continue with final exams. You will have to write an essay for your odd-numbered class periods (1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th periods). You will also have the regular final exam for your even-numbered class periods (2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th periods). Senior final grades are due today.
- Thursday, May 29, 2025: This is a day for seniors to take care of any school business. You must be there, and regular attendance rules will be followed.
- Friday, May 30, 2025: Seniors will have graduation practice today. You must be there, and regular attendance rules will be followed. This is also the last day of school for seniors.
- Saturday, May 31, 2025: Graduation ceremonies will be held for other Edinburg school high schools (JEHS, CHS, and EHS).
- Sunday, June 1, 2025: Edinburg North High School's graduation ceremony will be at 2:00 PM.
- Monday, June 2, 2025: This is the official last day for seniors.
- Tuesday, June 3, 2025: Teachers and staff will be working.
For Underclassmen (Grades 9-11):
Students in grades 9-11, here is your schedule for the end of the year:
- Monday, May 26, 2025: There will be no school because of the Memorial Day holiday.
- Tuesday, May 27, 2025: This is a regular school day. Underclassmen will use this day to study for final exams.
- Wednesday, May 28, 2025: Underclassmen will have essay exams for odd-numbered class periods (1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th periods).
- Thursday, May 29, 2025: Underclassmen will have essay exams for even-numbered class periods (2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th periods).
- Friday, May 30, 2025: Underclassmen will have final exams for odd-numbered class periods. The schedule is:
- 1st period: 9:00 AM - 10:10 AM (70-minute exam, attendance taken at 10:00 AM)
- 3rd period: 10:15 AM - 11:25 AM (70-minute exam)
- 4th period: 11:30 AM - 12:15 PM (45 minutes)
- 5th period: 12:20 PM - 1:30 PM (70-minute exam)
- 6th period: 1:35 PM - 2:20 PM (45 minutes)
- 7th period: 2:25 PM - 3:35 PM (70-minute exam)
- 8th period: 3:40 PM - 4:30 PM (50 minutes)
- Students who go to CTE off-campus will go to their classes as usual.
- Saturday, May 31, 2025: Graduation ceremonies will be held for other Edinburg school high schools (JEHS, CHS, and EHS).
- Sunday, June 1, 2025: Edinburg North High School's graduation ceremony will be at 2:00 PM. Graduation ceremonies will also be held for RVHS.
- Monday, June 2, 2025: Underclassmen will have final exams for even-numbered class periods. School will let out early today, and it is the last day of school for students. The schedule is:
- 2nd period: 9:00 AM - 10:10 AM (70-minute exam, attendance taken at 10:00 AM)
- 4th period: 10:15 AM - 11:25 AM (70-minute exam)
- 5th period: 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM (30 minutes)
- 6th period: 12:05 PM - 1:15 PM (70-minute exam)
- 8th period: 1:20 PM - 2:30 PM (70-minute exam)
- Students who go to CTE off-campus will go to their classes as usual.
- Tuesday, June 3, 2025: Teachers and staff will be working. Teacher grades are due.
