Important Announcement: New Policy Regarding Bags on Campus
EDINBURG, TX – May 19, 2025 – Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District (ECISD) is implementing a policy regarding bags allowed on campus, effective Tuesday, May 20, 2025 to the end of the 24-25 school year.
To enhance campus safety and security, backpacks, large bags, and large purses are NOT allowed on campus.
The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. This new policy is a proactive measure to ensure a more secure learning environment for everyone at ECSID.
Key Reminders for Students:
- Small purses ARE allowed. Students may continue to bring small purses to school.
- Athletic bags: All athletic bags must be taken directly to the gym lockers upon arrival. Students participating in sports or other physical activities shall utilize the designated locker room facilities for their gear.
We appreciate the cooperation of our students, parents, and the entire ECISD community in adhering to this policy. Your understanding and support are crucial in maintaining a safe and productive educational environment for all.
