Edinburg North Implements Updated Metal Detector Procedures for Student Safety

To ensure a safe and secure learning environment, Edinburg North High School has implemented updated metal detector procedures for all students entering campus. These guidelines are designed to streamline the morning entry process while maintaining the highest standards of safety.

Morning Drop-Off Locations & Times:

  • Teacher/Student Parking Lot: 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM
  • 100’s Hallway Entrance: 8:20 AM – 9:00 AM
  • Front Entrance: 8:50 AM – Start of School Day

🚫 Please note: The bus lane is strictly for buses only and should not be used for student drop-off.

Metal Detector Process:

  1. Remove All Items from Pockets
Before approaching the metal detector, students must place all personal items and backpacks on the designated table or in a basket.

  2. Walk Through the Detector
Students should walk through the detector with empty pockets to ensure a smooth screening.

  3. If Cleared
Students may retrieve their belongings and proceed directly to class.

  4. If Not Cleared
Students will be directed to a secondary check for further screening.

These procedures are part of Edinburg North’s ongoing commitment to student safety and campus security. We appreciate the cooperation of all students, staff, and families in making our school a safe place to learn and grow.
