The Mighty Cougar Football Team will take on the Harlingen South Hawks at Boggus Stadium in Harlingen on Friday, November 23 at 7:30 p.m. Good luck Mighty Cougars!


 Arrangements for a student fan bus are underway. Cost of the trip will be $10 which includes a ticket to the game and a meal. For information contact Ms. Carcano in the Athletic Office.

Parents, be advised. Many students are crossing Business 281/Closner after school to buy snacks. This street is a dangerous 35 mph school zone. Please talk to your children and advise them that there is a safe crosswalk at the corner of Rogers and 281 which they should use when crossing the street.

 

 

The end of the 2nd six weeks is Friday, Nov. 9th.  Report cards will be mailed out this week.


Saturday School classes for reviewing for the December EOC test take place on Saturday mornings from 8-12.  If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Moran at 289-2500 ext. 6803.


 Students needing credit recovery may be eligible for PLATO classes on Saturday.  If you think your child might qualify for this program please contact the Counseling Dept.

 Seniors Vanessa Salazar and Allison Brandt have been selected to represent Edinburg North High School at the 12th Annual RGV Volleyball Showcase. They will play for the West All-Stars on December 9, 2012 at P.S.J.A.-Memorial High School at 2:00 p.m.

Both JV Dark and Varsity finished in second place


 Congratulations to Vanessa Salazar for being named the MaxPreps Texas Volleyball Player of the Week for Sept. 24.  Vanessa was also presented by State Farm Rep Raul Resendez as the HSSM Academic Player of the Week.  This recognition comes with a $250 scholarship.  Congratulations to Vanessa and Lady Cougars for such accomplishments!


 

 

 

 

Seven Mariachi Oro de ENHS students will be representing Edinburg North High School as well as ECISD at the TMEA All-Region Mariachi Concert on February 23, 2013.

Violin: 1st chair- Rafael Ramirez, 9th chair- Denise Sanchez, 11th chair- Andrea Torres

 The Edinburg North Orchestra had 10 students (1 alternate) secure spots in the All Region Orchestra.  This is the most students from one school.  Congratulations to the students and teachers that prepared for this contest!


 

 

 

The Edinburg North HS Mighty Cougar Band received their 23rd Consecutive Division I Superior Rating at the Annual Pigskin Jubilee held at McAllen Veteran's Memorial Stadium.  The band has received a Division I rating every year the school has been open.  The band advances to the Area Contest in Laredo next Saturday.


 

The District and Region choir auditions took place Saturday at Juarez Lincoln HS. We took 22 students and 18 will be performing in the District choir concert. Additionally 5 advanced to the Regional Choir Auditions: Lydia Flores, Sarah Pedraza, Monica Rivas, Adriana Arango, and Miguel Martinez.  Congratulations to our Choir students and their directors: Linda Hernandez and Claudio Esquivel.


The following band students auditioned & were selected to the 2012-13 TMEA All-Region & Area Jazz Bands.  Congratulations to:
